MILFORD - Mary V. Tinley of Milford died of natural causes, after a long illness, Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Green Valley Pavilion, Smyrna. She was 87.
Mrs. Tinley was born in Denton, Md., daughter of the late Ethel Ringgold.
She worked for H.P. Cannon canning factory in Bridgeville for many years.
Mrs. Tinley enjoyed traveling and looking at the different scenery in her travels. She was a workaholic, always working and doing something when she wasn"t eating. She was a collector of many things. Whatever one gave her, she cherished and would keep forever.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Tinley Sr., in 2003.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie Speicher of Harrington and Margaret "Peggy" and Robert Lauer of Bridgeville; a son, Morris Lee Tinley Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; a number of grandchildren, including two who frequently spent summers with her, Mary Etta Jones of Felton and Christine Gail Morris of Seaford; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call two hours earlier. The Rev. Clarence Voshell will officiate.
