TOWNSEND - Mary "Ethel" Lavender, 91, of Townsend, passed peacefully into the arms of God on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011. Ethel loved her family and the Lord. Throughout her life she shared the riches of God's many blessings with all who were fortunate to know her. Ethel carried the love of God in her heart and unselfishly shared it with everyone. She will always be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and loving individual, who will be dearly missed by the many lives she touched. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 51 years, Dennis "Dink" Lavender; a step-son, Larry Lavender and his fiancé Barbara James; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where friends may visit with her family one hour prior to service.
