Mary Anne Pusey
DOVER - Mary Anne Pusey went home to be with her Lord Jesus on April 29, 2022 in the Critical Care Unit at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del. Mary was surrounded by family when she passed peacefully into eternity. Mary was born on October 17, 1950, in Holyoke, Mass. Mary was the daughter of the late Francis A. Cavanaugh and Sofie B. Cavanaugh.
Mary graduated from South Hadley High School in 1969. Sometime after graduation, Mary married and became a homemaker and later, a stay-at-home mom for many years. Later in life, Mary met and married Charles W. Pusey, Jr. She was employed as a Para-Professional Library Assistant for the Caesar Rodney School District. Mary loved working with the children in the school's library and she touched many lives. She retired after 22 years of service.
Mary loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Grace and Truth Community Church along with her husband Charles. She possessed the gift of listening; her phone rang often with one of her lady friends calling to share something with her or seeking advice. She was a blessing to many. Mary was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her ten grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Charles W. Pusey, Jr. of Dover. She is also survived by her son, Robert P. Bunch, his wife Martha A. Bunch and her grandchildren, Audrey, Madelyn, Zachary, Tyler and Alexandra Bunch; her second son, Andrew D. Bunch and her grandchildren, Noah Bunch and Timothy Wenteler; her stepson, Christopher W. Pusey, his wife, Jordyn M. Pusey and her grandchildren, Elsa and Charles (Charlie) Pusey and Zoie Mattei; and her stepson, Thomas J. Pusey and his dear friend Mona Kauffman. Mary is also survived by her brother, Francis P. Cavanaugh and Nancy Pittman of Lowell, Mass.; and cousin, Margaret Cavanaugh of South Hadley, Mass.
