Mary Alice Johnson, 48
LAUREL - Mary Alice Johnson, of Laurel, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 48.
She was born in Federalsburg, Md., daughter of the late Vido Masavage and Mary Jane Masavage.
Mary Alice worked as a teacher's aide at Dunbar Elementary School in Laurel, where she dearly loved the kids she taught.
She also had a fondness for animals and collectables.
Mary Alice is survived by her son, Steven J. Johnson of Laurel; her brothers, Joe Masavage and George Masavage, both of Florida; her companion, Michael Banning of Laurel; and her dear friend, Joyce Turpin of Georgetown.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel, where friends may call one hour prior.
Internment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. John Van Tine will officiate.
