Marlene G. Auen

DOVER - Marlene G. Auen passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 76. Marlene was born on July 24, 1937 in Dover, daughter of the late Milton and Mabel (Spence) Griffith. She enjoyed life as a homemaker who loved the Christmas Season and was an ardent supporter of junior golf at Maple Dale Country Club. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Auen. She is survived by three children, Holly Budd and her husband Andy of Virginia, Matt Auen and his wife Pam of Florida, Scott Auen and his wife Tina of Dover; a sister, Betty Lou Hayes of Rehoboth; and grandchildren, Kat Larkin, Austin Auen, Nick Auen, Dylan Auen and Sydney Auen. Graveside service will be 12 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Delaware Chapter, Two Mill Road, Suite 106, Wilmington, DE 19806.
