NEWARK - Marjorie M. Cantler of Newark died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, in the Hillside Nursing Home, Wilmington. She was 90.
Mrs. Cantler was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Charles E. Sr. and Mary S. Draper.
She was raised in Wilmington and was a graduate of St. Paul's High School.
Mrs. Cantler worked several years at the Memorial Hospital in Wilmington and retired from the Blood Bank of Delaware in July 1980.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Cantler was a member of St. John the Beloved Church, Wilmington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton R. Cantler; a son, Buddy Cantler; two sisters, Dorothy Montgomery and Pearl McFarland; and a brother, Charles Draper.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Sherrill A. and James McGuigan of Clayton; a son and a daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Molly Cantler of Elkton, Md.; a loving nephew, Joseph McFarland of Milford; numerous other nephews; two loving nieces, Connie Lahman and Dawn Townsend, both of Florida; and numerous other nieces; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel in Gracelawn Memorial Park, North DuPont Highway, Minquadale, where friends may call one hour earlier.
