Marjorie Ann Hudson, 96 GEORGETOWN, Del. - Marjorie Ann Hudson passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Harrison Senior Living. Marjorie was born on July 20, 1925, to the late Lacey and Mary L. (Johnson) Derrickson in Georgetown, Del., where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Harbeson United Methodist Church. She excelled at her job of homemaker, and with her decorating skills knew how to make a house a home. She was a skilled baker and cook. She enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughters. In addition to her parents; Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Hudson, Jr. in 2004; her daughter, Mary Ellen Hudson; her brothers, Jim Derrickson and Olan Derrickson; and her sister, Ruth Mitchell. She will be sorely missed by her son, Richard L. Hudson (Connie) of Georgetown; her grandsons, Steve Hudson (Stephanie), Ricky Hudson, and Jimmy Hudson (Kasie); her great granddaughters, Kayla Waples (Brad), Kira Hudson, and Haylie Hudson, and Lynzee Hudson; and her great-great grandchildren, Declan Waples and Kaisen Waples. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 12 noon at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery. As required by revised mandates during the pandemic, masks will be required for the health and safety of the family and those in attendance. Flowers are accepted, but donations are encouraged to Harrison Senior Living, 110 West North Street, Georgetown, DE 19947.
