Marie Sheppard Walls, 86 DOVER - Marie Sheppard Walls, of Dover, formerly of Barclay, Md., died Monday, June 28, 2010. She was 86. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Hazlettville, to the late Amos and Carrie Etta Greenwood Sheppard. Marie was a homemaker and farmer's wife, who spent most of her life in Barclay, Md. She moved to Dover 2 years ago. She was a fan of country music and NASCAR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Walls, in 1977; and brothers, Kermit, Jesse, Barney, Norris, and Homer Sheppard; and sisters, Tessie Thompson, and Mabel Reed. Mrs. Walls is survived by her son, Frank Walls and wife Judy of Catonsville, Md.; three daughters, Mary Cronshaw and husband Ed of Dover, Carolyn Walls Wallace of Easton, Md., and Beverly Walbert and husband Jay of Barclay, Md.; six grandchildren, Drew Cronshaw and wife Sherrie of Camden, Lisa Allison and husband Kenny of Dover, Heather Campbell and husband Mike of Royal Oak, Md., Aaron Wallace of North East, Md., Jennifer Anderson and husband Johnnie of Betterton, Md., and Angela Walbert of Barclay, Md.; nine beloved great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Walls of Barclay, Md. Funeral services will be noon, Friday, July 2, in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, Md. Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church, c/o Charge Office, 103 N. Church St., Sudlersville, MD 21668.
