She met her husband, Dr. John Forest, while attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where she received B.S. and Master of Social Work degrees. She worked at Traveler's Aid in Nashville and Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia before moving to Dover with her husband in 1957. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing bridge, tennis and golf. Over the years, Mrs. Forest volunteered for the Junior Board at Kent General Hospital, D.A.P.I., Geriatric Services, and the Biggs Museum. She was a member of the Sprig & Twig Gardening Club, Maple Dale Country Club and was a Friend of the Dover Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. John Forest of Dover; children, John Forest (Pam) of Minden, NV, Bill Forest (Debbie) of Felton, Ramsey Forest of Dover and Amy Dubois (Jean-Jacques) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Becky Luse (Kenny), Rob and Andrew Forest, Audrey, Samuel, Sophie and Leo Dubois. A Remembrance Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Biggs Museum of American Art, 406 Federal St, Dover, DE 19901.
