SEAFORD - Marianne passed Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. Marianne was born on Jun. 18, 1957 in Warsaw, N.Y. She lived in Perry, N.Y. until the age of seven when her family moved to Dover. It was in Dover where Marianne graduated high school in 1975. She attended college and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelors degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Marianne worked for Nanticoke Memorial Hospital from 1979 until 2012.
Marianne enjoyed playing tennis in high school and following the sport in her adult life. She was a great mother to her two children and a great friend to all she met. She enjoyed camping with family and friends. The Camping Biddies event each year was one of her most cherished times. Marianne enjoyed playing guitar and all kinds of music. She would entertain friends with lyrics and song about them. She was known to shake a leg. She enjoyed watching her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren participate in all kinds of sport and other activities. She enjoyed taking photos of family and friends at gatherings plus rides in the country to photograph scenery and wildlife.
No year was complete without a return visit to Letchworth State Park in Portageville, N.Y. She loved her family reunions in New York where laugh-a-thons were held with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Marianne will be missed by her family, husband Russ, daughter Monica and family Jimmy and Camden, son Kirk and family Lauren, Brayden and Hailey, mother and father Monica and Alfonse, brother Jim and family Lauren. There numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that will miss Marianne's giant Smile and Heart.
Services will be held with visitation Wednesday Dec. 20, 2017, 6 to 8 p.m., visitation Thursday Dec. 21, 2017, 12 to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley St., Seaford, DE 19973
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marianne's memory to the Transplant House in Philadelphia at; Clyde F Barker Transplant House, 3940 Spruce St., Philadelphia, Pa 19104
