BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Marian Maiese, of Brooksville, died Jan. 25, 2009. She was 91. Born in Scranton, Pa., Marian and her husband, Anthony lived for many years in Wantagh, Long Island before moving to Columbia, Md., in 1994. In 2006, Marian moved to Florida with her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dom Esposito. She resided there at Crown Point Assisted Living for the remainder of her life. Marian was a graduate of Dunmore High School in Pennsylvania. During her years of employment, she worked as a seamstress and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Marian enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, gardening, and playing card games and Scrabble with family and friends. Marian was predeceased by her husband of 62 years; her parents, Lisa and Frank Truncali; her sister, Mary Perfilio; and sisters-in-law, Louise Lamberta and Grave Avelli. She is survived by daughters, Ann (Dom) Esposito of Brooksville, Louise (Jay) Santana of Decatur, Ga.; grandchildren, Anthony and Dana Esposito and Astrid Santana; brother, Benjamin Truncali of Scranton, Pa.; sister-in-law, Amelia (George) Wicks of Smyrna, Del.; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 a.m. Friday in St. Polycarp Roman Catholic Church, 135 Ransom Lane Smyrna. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main St., Smyrna. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Smyrna. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main St., Smyrna. Condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
