Marian F. Eberly, 79

DOVER - Marian F. Eberly, of Dover, died peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 79.

During her last hours she was comforted by Robert Eberly, her husband of 60 years, and by loving family and friends.

She was born June 8, 1927, in Three Springs, Pa., daughter of the late Leroy and Edna (Cutshall) Fleck.

Marian left her home and family at the age of 17. She supported her country by working for the Navy Department in Washington until the end of World War II.

Moving to Delaware in 1955, Marian raised a family and worked.

Each of her vocations provided her with the opportunity to help people. Helping people in whatever fashion possible, enjoying music, and supervising family activities, were Marian's primary hobbies.

She worked for 15 years for the Caesar Rodney School District in the cafeteria of the Nellie Stokes School. She also worked in the early beginnings of what would become kindergarten and preschool for the district.

Marian will be sorely missed: by her husband Robert, by all members of her family, and, by her many friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth Twardowski and her husband, Skip; a son, Barry Eberly and his wife, Debbie; a grandson, David Twardowski; granddaughters, Lisa Sanderson, Adrienne Leighton, Jessica Eberly, and Sarah Eberly; and four great-grandchildren, Ty and Molly Sanderson, and Charles and Christian Leighton.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier.

A luncheon reception will follow at the Wyoming United Methodist Church.

Instead of flowers, friends may elect to contribute to the building fund for the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 112 Broad St., Wyoming, DE 19934.
