Margaret S. Murray

SEAFORD - Margaret S. Murray passed away peacefully at Harrison Senior Living on Aug. 18, 2015. She was born in Richmond, Va. on July 27, 1930 to the late Robert and Minnie King. She retired to the area in 1991 from Beltsville, Md. where she had worked as a dining room manager for Marriott. Margaret was a member of the Bayshore Community Church and she enjoyed being a homemaker and being involved with the church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Charlie Wingfield in 2003. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William L. Murray Jr.; son Alfred P. Murray and his wife Debbie of Berlin, Md.; daughter Linda Ann Smith and her husband Wayne of Thurmont, Md.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 416 Federal St., Milton, Del. 19968, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret's memory can be made to: Bayshore Community Church 36759 Millsboro Hwy, Millsboro, De 19966.
