Margaret (Bostic) Emory, 91
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Margaret (Bostic) Emory of Chestertown died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 91.
Mrs. Emory was born June 19, 1916, in Ingleside, daughter of the late Stephen and Sallie (Lee) Bostic.
She and her husband farmed in the Ingleside area before owning the Ingleside Grocery Store for 13 years.
For 20 years she worked for Playtex in Dover, Del.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Chestertown, working as a receptionist at Magnolia Hall for 10 years.
Mrs. Emory was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ingleside, and Christ United Methodist Church, Chestertown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry B. Emory, in 1987; a grandson, Mark Anthony; three brothers, Kenneth Bostic, Paul Bostic and Joseph Bostic; a sister, Pauline Raisner; four half brothers, William Bostic, Stephen Bostic, George Bostic and Harry Holden; and a half sister, Emma Holden.
Mrs. Emory is survived by three daughters, Patricia Pardee and her husband Alvin of Lynch, Henrietta Anthony and her husband Wayne of Chestertown and Dorothy Cosden and her husband Paul of Clermont, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be in Sudlersville Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or Christ United Methodist Church, care of the funeral home.
