LINCOLN - Margaret Christine Stone of Lincoln, passed quietly into the gates of Heaven on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Chris as she was known to all those who loved her was born October 11, 1930 in Marion, Va. to the late Vester Delp and Lillie Delp Thomas. She was also preceded by her daughter, Mary Jane Blakenbeckler in 2006. She was a member of Harrington Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, and loving mother and her kindness and compassion for others. Mrs. Stone leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Charles I. Stone of the home; daughter, Barbara Kibler (Larry) of Felton; son, Ivan Michael (Lynn) of Smyrna; and son, Mark (Tina) of Newark. Also survived by son-in-law, Sidney C. Blankenbeckler of Sugar Grove, Va.; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth of Marion, Va. and Edith of Louisville, Ky. Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford, where visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, March, 2, 2014 and Monday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 am. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chris' name to: www.kidney cancer. org.
