GREENSBORO, Md. - Mae Breeding Bishop, died on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in her home, after a long illness. She was born on Jan., 16, 1920 to the late Frank and Sarah Breeding of Goldsboro. She was married for 68 years to her husband, Edgar D. Bishop. Together they farmed, raised a family and did some traveling. Mae was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Her family was her life. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Greensboro, teaching Sunday school and serving on the Alter Guild. She drove a school bus for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar D. Bishop in 2005; son, Edgar D. Bishop, Jr.; daughters, Anna Jane, and Lynn; brothers, Linwood Breeding of Hebron, Walter Breeding of Greensboro; sisters, Myrtle Downes of Camden, Del., Lillian Bishop of Denton, Dorothy Thoroughgood of Rehoboth, Del., Barbara Porter of Greensboro, and Carlotta Breeding of Goldsboro; and one grandson, Jeff Bishop of Goldsboro. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Bowers of Clayton, Del.; son, Richard Bishop, (Barb); daughters, Virginia Jones (Bill), Janice Elliott all of Greensboro, Joan Fuchs (Louis) of Harrington, Del., Diane Whitby of Chester, and Eva Parker (John) of Dover, Pa.; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Greensboro, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Greensboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church P. O.
