Mabel C. Faulkner, 87
HARTLY - Mabel C. Faulkner passed away peacefully Monday, August 30, 2021 at Bayhealth Hospital of Dover, Del. She was born near Snow Hill, Md. on December 3, 1933 to Elmer and Catherine Waite.
Mabel worked at General Clothing Factory in Smyrna for many years then managed A&B Market in Kenton where she loved meeting people who came into the store. She also worked at Capital School District cafeteria for a while and volunteered at Mamie Warren Senior Center from 2002-2015. She loved being with her family during the holidays especially Christmas, or watching her grandchildren play ball, going to the slots, and bowling with her friends.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a daughter and a son, Bonnie Wood and husband Glenn of Hartly, William Mosley of Hartly; two grandchildren, Steven Wood and wife April, Angela Kelley and husband Orlan; five great-grandchildren, Orlan, Ella and Zeke Kelley, Olivia and Cheyenne Hill; one sister, Louise Balke and husband Neuk of Woodside, Del.; many nieces and nephews; very special friends, Ron and Margi Prestileo.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Mamie A. Warren Senior Center, 1775 Wheatleys Pond Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977.
