Lynn (Freeman) Bramble, 49

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Lynn (Freeman) Bramble of Chestertown died after a long battle with cancer Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 49.

She was the daughter of Ruth Palmer Freeman and the late Dr. John R. Freeman of Richmond, Va.

Lynn was born in Cape Charles, Va.

She was a graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School, class of 1976, and a graduate of Virginia Tech, class of 1980.

A certified public accountant, Lynn was an accountant for Jones Dairy Farm in Massey, Chester River Yacht and Country Club and Anthony & Associates in Chestertown.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, as well as her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Richard N. Bramble; two children, Richard Scott Bramble and his wife Jill of Chestertown, and Laura Bramble DeVol and her husband Michael of Davidsonville; two brothers, John R. Freeman Jr. and his wife Gail of Orlando, Fla., and Ralph P. Freeman and his wife Susan of Richmond; a sister, Susan F. Cushnie and her husband Michael of Richmond; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Bramble, Jordan Bramble, Sarah Devol and Brian DeVol.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Fellows, Helfenbein & Newman Funeral Home, Chestertown. The Rev. Kenneth Hickman will officiate.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Kent County, 10620 Augustine Herman Highway, Chestertown, MD 21620; or Chester River Home Care and Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
