Lowell A. Salzman

LINCOLN - Lowell A. Salzman, Sr., died Monday, August 13, 2012, at Hillcrest Care Center in Jeffersonville, Ind, after an extended illness. Lowell was born June 14, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was formerly a resident of Lincoln, Del. He was in furniture sales for many years and was affiliated with G.R.A. Associates. Lowell loved the University of Louisville, his cats, dogs, family and wife Debbie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a son-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Deborah J. 'Debbie' McCrary-Salzman; children, John Salzman, Lowell A. Salzman Jr. (Jamie), Coleen Sweeney (Leo), Cindy Hartman, and Peggy Salzman; 15 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A reception of friends and family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday Evening in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Expressions of Sympathy may go to Vista Care Hospice or the Humane Society/Animal Rescue League.
