Loretta J. Rager

LINCOLN, Del - Loretta J. Rager, of Lincoln and formerly of Hagerstown, Md, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Mrs Rager was the daughter of the late Jess Paxon and Catherine (Cartwright) Reed. Loretta worked at Atlantis Plastics of Milton for over 35 years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She loved to shop, especially at Walmart. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending every minute she could with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Terry Ray Rager in 2010; two sisters, Corline Wegner and Catherine Gaton; and two brothers, Mike and Dale Reed. She is survived by a son, Terry Rager, Jr. and his wife Mandy; two daughters, Sandy Rager and her companion Bruce (Ash) Whitman and Teresa Rager Whitman and Jeff; seven grandchildren, Reba and Mariah Rager, Kyle, Taylor and Ryan Rager, Bruce, Jr. and Ashley Whitman; one great-grandson, Bruce Whitman III; three sisters, Patsy Netz, Phyllis Divel and Darlene Crow; and a brother Jess Reed. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Union Cemetery, Georgetown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE.
