Runyon, 79
MILFORD - Lois E. (Hartzler) Runyon of Milford Manor, Genesis Elder Care, Milford, passed away early Saturday morning, June 9, 2007. She was 79.
Mrs. Runyon was born April 25, 1928, in Allensville, Pa., daughter of the late Benjamin K. and Mary C. (Byler) Hartzler.
She was a licensed practical nurse, and formerly was employed at the Country Rest home, Greenwood, and at Milford Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Runyon was an active member of the Milford Church of God, and for the past several years, her mission was sending many "Thinking of you" cards, birthday cards and "Get well" cards to members in the church. She thoroughly enjoyed doing this as her way of contributing to the work of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Runyon, whom she had married Jan. 13, 1979, on Aug. 14, 1985; and a brother, Eugene Hartzler.
She is survived by five sisters and five brothers-in-law, Martha and Ivan Rohrer of Dayton, Va., Maxine and Merlin Zook of Camp Hill, Pa., and Florence and Marvin Showalter, Bertha and Richard Showalter, and Alice and Stan Hostetter, all of Waynesboro, Va.; and a brother, Ernest Hartzler of Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Milford Church of God, Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Broadcasting Network, P.O. Box A, Santa Ana, CA 92711-2101.
Arrangements by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
