Lois E. Pepper, 67

DOVER - Lois E. Pepper, of Dover, passed way Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in Pinnacle Nursing Home. She was 67. She was born on May 11, 1941, in Springfield, Mass., daughter of the late Lyman and Doris (Faulkner) Hayford. Lois had worked as a nurse for the Delaware Home and Hospital and retired due to disability. She enjoyed reading, sewing, flower and vegetable gardening and doing needlework. She was very musically inclined playing the violin, accordion, piano and harpsichord. She loved to play and gave piano lessons for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, William Pepper; a son, David Eckard of South New Berlin, N.Y.; a daughter, Doris E. Bartlett and her husband Mark of Levittown, Pa.; three stepchildren, Susan Rankin and her husband Charles of Harrington, William A. Pepper and his wife Carrie of Bear, and Michael D. Pepper of Kingston, N.Y.; brother, Kenneth Hayford of Kentucky; step-mother, Gen Hayford of New York; step-brother, Michael Hayford of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
