MILLSBORO - Linda M. Deiter, of Rehoboth Shores, Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 64. She was born in Newton, N.J., the daughter of the late Robert and Vera (Cook) Gratton. She worked as a meat wrapper for Rehoboth Super Fresh for 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing ceramics. She is survived by her life partner of 21 years, Joe Sabbi of Millsboro; four children, John J. Deiter and his wife Sherry of Great Meadows, N.J., Joseph Deiter and his wife Amber of Laurel, Brandon R. Blankenship and his wife Kirsten of Millsboro, and Marie Gordy and her husband Jeff of Laurel; one brother, Robert R. Gratton Jr., Centennial Co.; one sister, Shirley Smith, of Branchville, N.J.; nine grandchildren, John J. Deiter III, Brenden M. Deiter, Haley Deiter, Kameron J. Deiter, Victoria H. Blankenship, Gavin R. Blankenship, Joseph L. Zarrello, Anthony M. Zarrello, Ashley M. Zarrello and Courtney Gordy; and one great-grandson, Brayden M. Zarrello. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, Inc., 609 East Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call two hours earlier.
