Lester William Cleaves

Lester William Cleaves, 55

DAGSBORO - Lester William Cleaves, of Dagsboro, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 55.

He was born in Milford to the late Elsworth and Helen Cleaves.

Mr. Cleaves was a projectionist for many years in different theaters, including Fox and Schwartz.

He also worked for Dave Wilson's auction, helping with the many sales and auctions.

In his spare time, Mr. Cleaves enjoyed going to the racetrack and watching NASCAR. Mark Martin was his favorite driver.

He will be sadly missed by his close family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Katie Cleaves of Dagsboro; son, William A. Prettyman of Rehoboth Beach; daughters, Bonnie Watt of Lincoln and Tammy Cleaves of Dagsboro; sister, Ester Sprill of Sugarland, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to Melvin Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, DE 19952.
