FREDERICA - Leonard H. Hill, III "Lenny" passed away, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hill was born March 4, 1952 in Wilmington, to the late Leonard Hill, Jr. "Buster" and Virginia Darnell Hill.
He worked as a truck driver and then as a truck dispatcher for Reed Trucking in Milton for 40 years, retiring March 2017. Mr. Hill was a member of ABATE and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, RV Camping and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert C. Hill and Lougene Hill; nephew, Donnell Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sheila Fleshman Hill "Bobbi" of Frederica; children, Beverly Ann Koon (Herbert) of Hartly, Kimberlee Bowden (Doug) of Bethany Beach, Dee Gorsuch of Millsboro, Yolanda Davis (Cavel) of Roanoke, Va., Anthony Hill of Pulaski, Va.; brother, Allen Hill of Dover; sisters, Joyce Warren (Art) of Camden, Linda Ware (John) of Las Vegas, Nev., Clara Yerkes (Robert) of Milford, Beulah Hill of Wilmington, and Shirl Thompson (Darnel) of Mardela Springs, Md.; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Memorial services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
