Leonard E. Guth

Leonard E. Guth, 82 DOVER - Leonard E. Guth, 82, of Dover, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was born on Feb. 10, 1927, in Northampton, Pa., son of the late George and Estella (Erdman) Guth. Leonard served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked and retired as a bookkeeper/accountant. Leonard was a former member of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem, Pa., for over 10 years. He also was a member of Grace U.C.C. Choir for over 30 years. He enjoyed listening to classical music especially J.S. Bach, playing pinochle and manicuring his lawn when he lived in Pennsylvania. Leonard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Guth; a daughter, Sheila Snyder; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Stephanie, and Andrea, all of Dover. Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services and burial will be in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or Peoples United Church of Christ, 46 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE 19901.
