Leonard Conklin

DOVER - Leonard Conklin, age 80, passed away, Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He retired from Dow Corning Company in Huguenot, N.Y., he was a chemical operator. He was a crane operator for CFI Steel Company in New Jersey. Mr. Conklin served in the US Army. He was member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. In his free time he enjoyed fishing. He was born on August 13, 1930, to the late Harry and Mamie Conklin. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucy VanSickle Conklin of Dover; a son, Leonard J. Conklin of Monticello, N.Y., two daughters, Carolyn M. Teske of Dover and Marge E. Pulsinelli of Port Jervis, N.Y.; two sisters, Susie Vandermark of Matamoras, Pa. and Joan Crawn of Nahunta, Ga., eight grand children and nine great-grand children. Friends may call Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus St., Dover. A service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be give to Delaware Hospice, 911 South Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
