Leola McMillan, 80

ELLENDALE - Leola McMillan, of Ellendale, departed this life on Feb. 17, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 80. Born in Georgia on Oct. 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Louise Johnson Brown. She received her education in the Georgia Public Schools. She received Christ into her life at the Flames of Fire Holy Ghost Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Frank Roach Sr., and Evangelist Tanya Roach. She was dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon McMillan Sr. on Dec. 25, 2008; her mother, Louise Brown; son, James Jackson II; daughter, Betty Jean Bowe; brother, Leroy Bosty; nephew, Leroy Hairston; and great-granddaughter, Sa'Nahya Williams She is survived by three daughters Willa Mae Worthy of Ellendale, Rosie Williams, and Cathy Doyle-Mackey of Lincoln; one son, Leon McMillian Jr. of Dover; grandchildren, Sara Bowe, Tykesha Williams, Judy Worthy, Leola Bryant, Shalanda Doyle, Theodis III, Kevin, Michael, Antonio Bowe, James Jackson III, Victor Williams, Tony Ewell, Dachaund McMillian, and Derron Marvel-McMillan; sons-in-law, Boyd Williams and Vincent Mackey; daughters-in-law, Nadine Jackson and Michelle McMillan; sister-in-law Doris Bosty; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services for Leola McMillan will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Flames of Fire Church, Redden, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ellendale. Letters of condolence and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford.
