DOVER - Lawrence M. Ford of Dover passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at home. He was 72. Mr. Ford was born January 12, 1942 in Wilmington. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. Mr. Ford worked as a Souse Chef for MGM Grand in Reno, NV for 15 years. They then moved to Egg Harbor Twp. New Jersey in 2001 where he worked as a Souse Chef at various restaurants. They moved to Delaware in 2009, where he finally retired. Cooking was his life endeavor and also his hobby. Mr. Ford is survived by his wife of 41 years, Olga Neijndorff Ford of Dover; step-daughter, Hedy Laviolette and her husband Paul of Egg Harbor Twp., N.J.; step grandchildren, Stacy DeRose and her husband Michael of Hammonton N.J., Paul Laviolette and his wife Jessica of DeFuniak Springs Fla.; and five great grand daughters, Sara DeRose, Emily DeRose, Mary DeRose, Krista Laviolette and Julie Laviolette; brothers, Robert Ford, Raymond Ford and wife Marie; sister, Linda Griffith. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Forest Grove Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4950 Pearsons Corner Rd, Dover, DE 19904-4965. Friends may call one hour prior.
