Kenneth N. Bergold

FELTON - Kenneth "Kenny" N. Bergold, Sr. passed away, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at Kent General Hospital.
Kenny was born Oct. 13, 1931 in Syosset, N.Y. to the late Frank and Anna (Feitner) Bergold. In 1948 Kenny, along with his mother and four brothers relocated to the Dover area in search of fertile land to grow their potatoes. He later settled in Magnolia where he built his farm growing horseradish and grain.
Kenny was a member of The Delaware Farm Bureau and a former member of Harrington Moose Lodge #534. He enjoyed traveling and fondly recalled his trips to Florida, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. In his later years Kenny looked forward to traveling country roads enjoying the farm land throughout Delaware and Maryland.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his four brothers and their wives, Joseph and Florence Bergold, Elbert Bergold, Lester and Mildred Bergold, and Francis and Margaret Bergold; and his former wife, Mary Gotwalt.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth N. Bergold, Jr. of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Katherine Brown and her husband Zachary, Alex Bergold, Heather Bergold, Briona Bergold (Joey), and Jenifer Bergold; three great-grandchildren, Madox, Mira, and Chase; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming; where family and friends may view one hour before. Burial will follow at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
