TOWNSEND - Kenneth A. Barcus, 65, of Townsend, passed away on Jan. 9, 2009, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. Kenny had retired from the State of Delaware Highway Department after 15 years of service. He drove snow plows and other large trucks during his employment. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking care of his lawn, volunteering at his church, and caring for his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Gladys Barcus. Kenny is survived by his only sister, Lillian Vander Plasse; three nieces, Robin Martin, Debbie Connors, and Laura Metcalf, all of Lewes; and also two aunts, Lillian Jones and Evelyn Glanding. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 in the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.
