LEIPSIC - Kay Lynn Peer of Leipsic passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was 54. Kay was born July 31, 1960 in Dover, to the late George Balderson and Hilda David Balderson. She worked as an EMT for ten years with 911 Ambulance crew for Dover. Kay was a life member of the Little Creek and Leipsic Fire Companies as a Rescue Captain. She engaged in cheerleading and gymnastics at Dover High School. Kay enjoyed camping, caring for others but especially spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Peer was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Sonny Warrington. Kay is survived by her husband of 40 years, John Prior Peer, Jr. of Leipsic; sons, Jeff Peer and his fiancé, Tina Dempsey of Leipsic, David Peer and his fiancé Tanya Cain of Dover; grandchildren, Brandi, Jayson, Brayden, Myaranda, Davey, Pryce, Jimmie and Jacob; great grandson, Landon; father in law, John Peer, Sr.; sister in laws, Marie Hand, Jeannie Hastings and Candy Peer; three nephews, Ryan, Sean and Jamie Warrington; and a niece, Lisa Martinez; good friends, Cindy McCombs and Rocky Frazier; her beloved dogs, Pooter, Scooby, Munchin and Chappie. She will be sadly missed by many who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Little Creek Firehouse, 311 Main Street, Little Creek. Friends may call one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Little Creek Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 328, Little Creek, DE 19961. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
