FREDERICA - June C. Cole, of Frederica, died Wednesday Nov. 5, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. She was 70. Mrs. Cole was born March 15, 1938, in Chadds Ford, Pa., to the late James H. Stenger and Ethel Detwiler Stenger. She had worked as a private duty LPN in the Pennsylvania area. Mrs. Cole enjoyed her nursing career. She will be deeply missed and very much loved. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Lee Jenkins; her sister, Dolores Petherbridge, and her grandson, Thomas Platt. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, James "Frank" F. Cole Sr. of Frederica; two daughters, Dawn Susan Bartholf of Clayton, Debra Lynn Yeatman of Townsend; three stepsons, John Cole of Harrington, James Cole Jr. of Dover and Michael Cole of Magnolia; her brother, James Stenger of Glen Mills, Pa.; two grandchildren, Jason and Jolene Jenkins; two great-grandchildren, Angelina Jenkins and Thomas Yeatman. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Sunday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Route 10), Dover. Friends may call from 7-9 Sunday evening. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn Road, New Castle County, noon Monday.
