DOVER - Julian D. Holcomb passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022. He was born March 1, 1939, in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Owen C. Holcomb and Ruth Holcomb.
Mr. Holcomb was a USAF Veteran. Worked as a tile setter, line worker at GM in Newark, and a member of Brick Layers and Allied Crafts #1. He was an avid bowler, and golfer. He also took pride in working with people and helping them through recovery.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Holcomb, by daughter, Deborah Ann Carty; four brothers; two sisters.
Mr. Holcomb is survived by sons, Walter Holcomb (Cindy) of Felton, Douglas Holcomb of Dover, Wayne Holcomb (Bliss) of Magnolia; daughter, Judy Miller of Dover; sister, Doris Fitzwater; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior.
For those unable to attend the funeral service there will be a livestream on www.torbertfuneral.com, it can be found under the "Upcoming Livestreams" tab and viewed by clicking on their name.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Serenity Place, 327 Martin St., Dover, DE 19901.
