Joyce Faye Burris, 76Joyce Faye Burris was born in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, on Friday, October 12, 1945, to the late Clarence Clifford Burris, Jr. and Creola Snell Burris. She departed this life on Thursday, April 14, 2002, at her home in Milford, Delaware.
Joyce is survived by her brother, Clarence Clifford Burris, III of Falls Church, Va.; a loving aunt, Delema Carter of Felton, Del.; six nieces and nephews, Ayasha, Creola, Octavia, D'Mitri, Tiana and Clarence; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12 p.m. on May 1, 2022 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home of Delaware, 717 W. Division Street, Dover, Del. A Public Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE, on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 1 p.m.
