MILLSBORO - Josephine Morse,82, of Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Beebe Medical Center, in Lewes. She was born, the youngest of eight, in Manchester, England, daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine Garrity. Josephine was a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, for many years, retiring in 1989. She had also worked as a security screener with Philadelphia International Airport and as a seamstress with Little Flower Manor Nursing Home in Darby, Pa. She loved music, dancing, knitting, crocheting and computer. She also loved playing Bingo and had played for the past 22 years at the American Legion in Long Neck. She especially loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William H. Morse, in 2007; a son, Robert W., in 1988; grandson, Jason Morse, in 2006; and son-in-law, Stephen Salerno, in 2008. She is survived by a son, William G. Morse and wife Loretta; daughter, Jodi Salerno, all of Millsboro; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a nephew, David Cullen and wife Virginia, of Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be held Monday evening, August 1, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, with visitation after 6 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Pa.
