Johnson, 28 HARTLY - Joseph Charles "JC" Johnson passed away Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012 at his home. JC was born Aug. 21, 1984 in Dover Del., to Frederick "Freddie" Roberts and the late Linda Johnson. He loved deer hunting, duck and goose hunting, fishing, crabbing, playing pool and being on his cell phone, but he especially loved spending time with his dog Avery. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frederick Roberts, Sr. He is survived by his father, Freddie Roberts, Jr. and his wife Sassy of Hartly; brother, Cory Roberts of Hartly; sister, Amanda Angelini and her husband Chad of Sudlersville; grandmothers, Sarah Roberts of Hartly and Joan Johnson of Sandtown; niece and nephew, Abby and Josh both of Sudlersville; his good friend, Wayne Allen and special friends, Dave and Hope Caldwell who he affectionately called "Momma"; and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon, Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be in Templeville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hartly Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 28, Hartly, DE 19953.
