Johnny 'Mikey' Stegall, 53

GEORGETOWN - Johnny "Mikey" Stegall, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at home. He was 53.

Mr. Stegall was born in Lackey, Ky., on June 6, 1954, to the late Estil Stegall and Bertha (Garrett) Stegall of Georgetown.

He worked for Del-Tronics, Millville, N.J., for 17 years, until he left due to his illness.

Mr. Stegall enjoyed sports, especially NASCAR racing, horse racing and football.

He was a quiet man with a good sense of humor.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Thistlewood.

He is survived by his mother, Bertha Stegall of Georgetown; four children, Ashley Stegall and Stephanie Stegall, both of Salem, N.J., John Stegall Jr. of Carneys Point, N.J., and Megan Simpkins of Millville; three stepdaughters, Janet of Texas, and Michelle and Kimmy, both of New Jersey; six grandchildren; four siblings, Helen "Vita" Elliott of Lincoln, Danny Stegall of Millville, Pamela Smith of Lincoln and Tammy Morelli of Absecon, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Greenwood.

A viewing will be held one hour prior to funeral.

Interment will be at Bridgeville Cemetery.

Donations will be accepted by Fleischauer Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses, at P.O. Box 502, Greenwood, DE 19950.
