John Walter Smith Jarman Jr., 86 MILFORD - John Walter Smith Jarman Jr., of Milford, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. He was 86. He was born in Millsboro, son of the late John Walter Smith and Della J. (Coffin) Jarman. Mr. Jarman served his country proudly in the United States Army for 24 ½ years retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was an inactive member of F & A Masons and attended Shriners meetings. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Donna Lee Diaz, and a sister Roberta Jarman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances (Beiler) Jarman; a son, Dr. Robert O. Jarman of Evans, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jessica Jarman of Evansville, Ind., Joanna McCabe of Medford, Ore., John Jarman of Evans, Ga., Joey Diaz of Biglersville, Pa. and Amanda Diaz of Tampa, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Owen McCabe, Ansley McCabe and Trevor Diaz. Burial of cremains was held privately in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. In lieu flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Cardiac Unit, Kent General Hospital, 640 S.
