John Michael Jackson

MILFORD - John Michael Jackson, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md. Mr. Jackson was born in Philadelphia, Pa. the son of the late George W. and H. Rita (Dougherty) Jackson. He worked in Food Services for the Milford School District for 23 years before retiring in June 2012. He was a member of the Southern Delaware Street Rod Association; the Mid-Atlantic Street Rod Association; and he enjoyed working on, collecting and selling street rods and cars. But most important to John was his family. He enjoyed going on family vacations and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Matthew Jackson and a brother George Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Lou Jackson; two daughters, Amanda Eichholz and her husband James and Melinda Jackson and her boyfriend Josh Hudson; five brothers, Frank P. Jackson and his companion Stephen Turner; Richard J. Jackson and his wife Elizabeth A.; Paul W. Jackson and his wife Margaret; Edward W. Jackson and his wife Donna and Phillip C. Jackson and his wife Holly; one sister, Rita D. Jackson; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews as well as his devoted and loving yellow lab, Bentley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, Dec. 6, 2012 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may also call on Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2012 after 10 a.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford.
