HARRINGTON - John J. McDonald, of Harrington, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at home. He was 55. Mr. McDonald was born June 5, 1955, in Milford, to Jacqueline Ebersole McDonald and the late Alan McDonald. He served in the United States Army for 14 years. Following his discharge from the military he worked as a truck driver for Tower Concrete. Mr. McDonald loved animals especially his dog "Buddy." He never knew a stranger. Mr. McDonald is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Kochel and her husband Joseph of Dover; his life partner, Paula Phippen of Harrington; sisters, Denise Messer of Lincoln, and Brandi Soderback of Harrington; brother, Jeff Kochel of Florida; sisters, Terry Wegner and her husband Donald of Milford, Patricia Harper and her husband John of Killeen, Texas, and Sharon McDonald of Laurel; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
