John G. Robinson Sr.

FELTON - John G. Robinson Sr., 63, of Felton, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at home. Born on Feb. 10, 1948, in Elkton, Md., he was the son of Ann (Whitlock) Robinson of Hockessin, and the late William E. Robinson, Sr. John worked for Waste Management/BFI as a truck driver. He enjoyed bowling, fishing with his son, Jay and together they enjoyed time spent together watching NHRA car racing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Billy Robinson; and two sisters, Harriet Daniels and Judy Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kathy Robinson; three sons, Jay and his wife Michelle, of Magnolia, David Lockerman of Maryland, and John Glenn Cahall of Delaware; two daughters, Dawn Robinson of Maryland, and Lynn Funk and her husband Chuckie of Maryland; six granddaughters, Hannah, Cassidy, Samantha, Courtney, Kaitlyn and Amanda; two grandsons, Devon and DJ; six sisters, Hazel Dempsey and her husband Chris, of Watkinsville, Ga., Mary Voshell and her husband Cliff, of Millington, Md., Lynn Price and her husband Bob, of Clayton, Dorothy Baynard and her husband Wayne, of Dover, Belle Natali and her husband Al, of Hockessin and Susan Gray and her husband Tom, of Harrington; three brothers, Bill Robinson and his wife Tammy, Mike Robinson and his wife Henrietta, all of Federalsburg, Md., and Tom Robinson and his wife Laurie, of Dover; a brother-in-law, John Griffin and his wife Lynn, of Clayton; a sister-in-law, Mary Beago and her husband Chuck, of Dallas, Texas, and an aunt-in-law, Helen Cahall of Clayton, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 12 noon on Friday, Feb. 18, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may visit with the family from 11 to 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Townsend Cemetery. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
