DOVER - John D. Pugh passed away May16, 2014. Mr. Pugh built Lakeland Mobile Home Park and Furniture Store of Dover. He was a graduate of the University of Delaware. He was an Army Veteran. He was a former president of the Dover Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Pugh was a master gardener, home builder and avid reader who enjoyed woodworking, the arts, the theater and world travel. He is preceded in death by his brother Marshall and his sisters Doris and Mildred. Mr. Pugh is survived by his wife of 33 years, Audrey; his daughter, Heidi Pugh (Bruce Nelson) of Camden, DE; his step sons, Greg D. Barnes (Jackie) of Upperco, MD and Rand W. Barnes (Mary) of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren, Victoria P. Phillipson and Tate S. Phillipson; two step grandchildren, Caitlyn E. Barnes and Elizabeth A. Barnes; and loving pets Winston and Bailey. A funeral service will be at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to United Way of Delaware, Inc. at 101 W.
