Rogers, 27 FELTON - Joe A. Rogers, passed away from cancer on Saturday Aug. 25, 2012, at KGH Bayhealth in Dover. He was born on June 04, 1985, in Milford, Del. to George and Ruth Getz Rogers. Joe lived at home with his parents in Felton. He graduated from Polytech High School in 2003 with high honors in welding. He worked for Dovington Training Center in Felton as maintenance/welder. During deer season he would work at Rob's butcher shop of Felton. Joe loved riding his four wheeler and John Deer tractors and in his spare time he loved to sit and draw with pencils and water colors. He had a great love for his dog Lady and helping his neighbors. He is preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Pauline Getz; aunt Janet Getz; uncle, Paul Long; grandfather, George Rogers, Sr.; and grandmother Fredrica Bell Rogers. He is survived by his father and mother, George E. and Ruth D. Rogers of Felton, Del.; brother and his wife, George and Laurie Rogers,III; nieces; Alexis, Jayden, Devynn; nephew, Michael of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandfather, Charles Getz of Dover, Del.; aunt and uncle, Mary and Terry Bower; cousin, Angel of Dover, Del.; aunt and uncle, Tammy and Glenn Adams and Aaron and Josh of El Pasto, Texas; uncle, Charles Getz of Smyrna, Del. Remembrance Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday , Sept.1, 2012, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. Burial will be at the Hopkins Cemetery in Felton, DE Family and Friends may call Friday Aug. 31, 2012 6 to 8 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
