DOVER - Joan E. Yentsch, age 77, of Dover, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 11, 2011, at Bay Health Medical Center, Dover. Born in Williamstown, Pa., she was the only child of Mark and Thelma Evans Bast. Joan had later resided in Phila., Pa and had moved to Dover in 2005. She had been an active member of the St. Bernard's Seniors, the Dover Modern Maturity Center and the Wild Meadows Community. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was an avid reader, loved shopping, watching her Phillies, and also enjoyed knitting and bowling. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She leaves her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Carl Yentsch of Dover; three children, Mary Chaney and her husband Dennis of Harleysville, Pa., Tom Yentsch and his wife Stephanie of Lancaster, Pa., and Steve Yentsch and his wife Susan of Atlanta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover. Interment will be private.
