FREDERICA - Joan A. Bernhard, of Frederica, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, in her home with family. She was 69.
She was born on June 2, 1938, in Wilmington, to the late William and Ethlyn Davis Price.
Mrs. Bernhard worked as a CNA at Brethern Village in Litiz, Pa., Beebe Medical Center, emergency room at Reading Hospital, CNA at Silver Lake Nursing Home and Assisted Living in Milford, and Moore's Lake Pharmacy.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shaun Hanna.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Eugene Bernhard of Frederica; son and his wife, John and Linda Hanna; son, Gary Bernhard; son, Keith Bernhard; daughter and her husband, Kim and Jeff Klopp; daughter and her husband, Doreen and Tim Uysase; brother, David Price; stepbrother, Richard Deets Jr.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
