Jerry L. Torain

Jerry L. Torain FREDERICA - Jerry L. Torain, 56, of Frederica, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in the Veteran's Hospital, Elsmere. He was born June 8, 1953 son of the late Monroe and Ethel (Scott) Torain. Jerry served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and had worked most recently as a supervisor in the poultry industry for Mountaire, Millsboro. He loved to tinker, watch and collect movies, but his greatest love was the time spent with his daughter. Jerry is preceded in death by brothers, James Scott and Monroe Torain, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Juanita Torain; daughter Angel Torain; siblings, Raymond T. Torain, Doris A. Austin, Frances B. Price, and Jennette C. Thorne. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming where friends may view starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the funeral home. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
