HARRINGTON - Jerome Michael Hill of Harrington departed this life Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, in Dover. He was 23.
He was born Sept. 9, 1983, son of Victoria Harris and Anthony Hill.
Jerome received education in the Caesar Rodney School District.
He was employed by Jerry Paving Construction. He also worked at Burger King.
Jerome was a very loving person and always had a smile on his face that would light up the world.
He was always willing to give a helping hand. He was very well liked and loved.
Jerome was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tommy Lee McDuffy.
He is survived by his parents, Anthony Hill and Victoria Harris, both of Harrington; a stepfather, Joseph Harris; one sister, Antoinette Hill; one stepsister, Tylisa Hampton; three stepbrothers, Jermaine Colbert, Joseph Colbert and Anthony Colbert; three nieces, LaMaya Hill, Victoria Hill and Angel Colbert; three nephews, Jermaine Colbert, Marcus Colbert and Devon Hampton; his grandparents, Ruth and Orville Sudler and Eugene and Margaret Smith; seven aunts, Alfreda Downes of Dover, Annette Wideman of Viola, Diane Smith of Dover, Loretha Smith of Pennsylvania, Patricia Hill of Dover, Demilca Oliver and Doris McDuffy of St. Augustine, Fla.; five uncles, Wendell Smith of Pennsylvania, Sammy Smith of Dover, Arthur Downes of Dover, Miguel Smith and Gene Marc Smith of Felton; two godchildren, Maurice Jr. and Ny"Ionna Satchell; special people in Jerome"s life, Yvonne Johnson and her three children that he cherished as his own, Kenyatta, Desmond Johnson and Santiango Johnson; and other special people, Elizabeth Colbert, Saundra Caldwell, Christine Rochester, Brenda McCove and Maurice Satchell Jr.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Zion AME Church, Dover, where friends may view three hours prior.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Marydel.
