In addition to being a housewife and mother, she retired as a teacher's aid from the Lulu M. Ross Elementary School in Milford and served on the Delaware Foster Care Review Board. Mrs. Pyne was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church in Milford, serving as an Alter Guild member for many of those years. Her many hobbies and interests included: sewing, cooking, baking, traveling, investing and family genealogy. This last hobby helped her qualify her daughters for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She particularly enjoyed a good game of bridge with her friends. Besides her parents, Mrs. Pyne was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Pyne in 1988 and a sister, Lois B. Jones. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Boone and her husband Carroll (Sonny) of Milford and Elizabeth Isaacs and her husband David of Milton; two sons, David Pyne and his wife Donna of Milford and Stephen Pyne and his wife Diana of Conneaut Lake, Pa.; a brother, James Bizzelle of Post Falls, Idaho; four granddaughters, Angela Thoroughgood of Jacksonville, Fla. Amanda Harvey of Wallingford, Ky. Candice Pyne of Dover and Suzanne Burkley of Pittsburgh, Pa; two grandsons, Michael Pyne of Milford and Dylan Isaacs of Milton; as well as several great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Christ Episcopal Church, 200 N. Church St, Milford. Interment will be held privately.
