Janice E. Minnick, 79 EASTON, Md. - Janice E. Minnick, of Easton, died Friday, July 11, 2008, in the Talbot Hospice House in Easton. She was 79. Born in Concordia, Kan., on Nov. 23, 1928, Mrs. Minnick was the daughter of the late Clifton Ezra Holland and Clara Huggerth Holland. Her husband, Charles H. Minnick, died March 28, 1986. Mrs. Minnick moved to Denton in 1950. She was employed as a medical assistant for Drs. Taggart and Anderson. She and her husband ran a small restaurant called Jan's Inn for several years, after which she was employed at Sylvia's Beauty Shop. In 1988, she moved to Easton where she was employed with Rauch, Walls, and Lane as an administrative assistant. Upon her retirement, she took on her last and favorite job which was "Nana" to her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Minnick was a member of the Poor Boys and the Choptank River Yacht Clubs. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton E. Holland Jr. and Joseph A. Holland; and two sisters, Edith Riggleman and Vera Parsons; and her much loved son-in-law, Gary Renshaw. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Renshaw and Vickie Schmitt, both of Easton; three grandchildren, Wendy Handler, Fallon Bauer, and Charlie Schmitt; two step-grandsons, Paul and John Renshaw; and six great-grandchildren, Harrison, Claudia, Olivia, Ada, Riley, and Christian. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home, Denton, where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. The interment will be in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery near Hurlock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 10155 York Road, Suite 101, Cockeysville, MD 21030; or to the Talbot Hospice House, 586 Cynwood Dr., Easton, MD 21601.
